Stability test: Pallet

This piece came together in a way that hasn’t happened for me in a while. Start to finish, one idea carried all the way through. No detours, no overworking it. Just a clear read from beginning to end. That alone feels significant.

There’s tension in the relationship between the pallet and the glass. One feels worn down, pushed past its limit. The other is controlled, resolved, and intact. They sit together, but not comfortably. It holds for now; that’s enough.

I think that’s where this series starts to open up. Stability isn’t fixed. It shifts. It depends on context, timing, and what’s underneath you. What feels stable in one moment can break down in the next, and sometimes the structure that looks the weakest is still doing the work.

This piece feels like a starting point. Not a conclusion. I’m interested in how far that can go.
